Abstract Adolf Goldhammer was born 1847 in Hungary and immigrated to Denver, Colorado in 1885 with his wife Betta and sons Abe and Jacob. He operated a liquor store and saloon hall that was often used as a meeting place for the Jewish community to hold meetings, plays and other cultural events. Ben Hoffman B'nai B'rith Gold Star

Lande grew up on Denver's west side and attended the Hebrew Educational Alliance.
